Mumbai Trans Harbour Link: A Game-Changer for Real Estate, Mumbai to Navi Mumbai in 20 minutes!

On January 12 2024 the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. MTHL, longest sea bridge spans 22km with a 16.5km extension into the sea. The Atal Setu aka MTHL originates from Sewri and terminates at Nhava Sheva, constructed for ₹18,000 crore.

Mumbai Trans Harbour Link a Game Changer?

The MTHL expected to  reduce the travel time between Mumbai and Navi Mumbai covering the previous 2hrs journey into 20 minutes.

The  less desirable areas like Panvel, Sewri, Navi Mumbai, and Chembur this bridge plays a vital role. MTHL poised to democratize the real estate market, connecting previously less desirable areas. In Panvel, Sewri, Navi Mumbai, and Chembur there will be anticipation of increased demand and price appreciation.

The Vice Chairperson of Nahar Group, Manju Yagnik sees the Mumabi Trans Harbour Link to be game changer for the areas such as Panvel and Chembur. It will lead to explosive growth in the areas due to expected surge in demand for homes near prime business hubs.

Ayushi Ashar (Ashar Group) and Sundeep Jagasia (Shree Krishna Group) express positive sentiments about MTHL’s impact on real estate. They mention of ongoing metro network construction further enhancing Mumbai’s real estate hub status.

As MTHL  is contributing to further changes, direct beneficiary of key infrastructural projects will be to the Chembur.

Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde acknowledges the project’s significance. Shinde addresses that the MTHL will be providing relief from traffic snarls.
